Spring has Sprung (It did a long time ago but I'm just getting there)

School is finally out and hopefully you will hear a little more from me. I did my spring planting for Mothers Day and most of it is looking pretty good. One good thing about staying here for the summer is that I can take care of my flowers. It must mean I'm getting old when I get excited about planting flowers and then taking care of them. Oh well! At least my husband is not far behind. He has been on mole patrol the last couple of days. However, it came to an end last night for our little tunnel digging (nice grass and perfect edge messer upper) friend. I wish moles were uglier. I didn't feel bad about killing it until I saw it. There kind of cute. At least we will now have perfect edges on our lawn : ) Look carefully and you can see Baxter. He followed me from inside while I took pictures.

Beautful flowers but the transition from flowers to the bare-chested Rod with the moles was a tad heart-stopping. Next time you must include a textual warning!

I'm not sure I'd rather have a mouse or a mole in my house--what do you think?
