A little bit of everything

I would love to post on just one topic but I can't seem to keep up. So your going to get a little bit of everything until life slows down, so probably until Jack turns 18 : )

We woke up the other night to what I thought was someone trying to get into our house. We came to find out it was Baxter who had gotten scared to death by a giant frog. He must have run into the kitchen table and then to the basement. Gracie thought for sure he could attack and kill it through the glass. Had we actually let him go outside I'm sure he would have run away from the frog just like Baxter. Baxter would not go near the sliding doors until the next day.

Jack went for his first motorcycle ride in his night gown and in the garage. He seemed to enjoy it!! I would like to keep his motorcycle rides to the garage as long as I can but I don't think his daddy will agree with me on this one.

This is the famous smile from Rod's family. Rod smiles just like this with just the left corner going up. Rod got it from his grandfather Everett - Jan's father.

Jackson took notice of himself in the mirror the other day. He grinned at this "other" baby a couple of times but mostly just stared intently.

I put Jack on the bed to watch the ceiling fan while I was getting ready and realized just how small he still is. Even though he has gained a ton of weight (he weighs 14 pounds now) and has big chunky thighs (see video below) he is still really small.

Where is our five week old Baby Jack? He looks so old! I just want to pick him up and love him and I find myself talking back to him. What a fun way to watch our GRAND baby grow, although we'd much rather see him for real.

I've loved being able to babysit with Jack lately! Even so, I could still look at pictures of him all day long! Love the video--he's just so precious. Don't worry, Grandma Kathy, I'm giving him kisses and hugs for you, too, till you're able to see him again. :)
