Guess who's almost one...

We celebrated Jackson's 1st birthday today with friends and family. We started off with lunch at our favorite restaurant, Tequila's, then opened gifts and had cake and ice cream. Jack was a trooper the entire day. He tried a cheese enchilada for the first time. He loved it and ate the entire thing. Jack opened most of his presents with a little help from me and a little redirecting from his Aunt Ashley. He cautiously tasted his cake with one finger, then another, and then signed all done. We ignored him as good parents do and redirected him to his cake. Jack slowly got a little more frosting here and there and eventually ended up covered!! Jack had a great 1st birthday. Thanks to everyone for your generous gifts and spending the afternoon with us!!!

Hey Jackson Dean, It looks like you are having a fun birthday and that your mom's been very busy making cakes. We miss you and wish we could be there too. Love,

Darci, I finally got to see the great one-year pictures! They were so cute. He looks so cute and I'm sure he's a handful. Can't wait to get reacquainted soon. Hi Jackson!
